The Arts Effect On Society

The arts incorporate a broad spectrum of human actions. Such can be interactive media usually referred to performing arts. Examples of these include; literature, music, dance, film or theater among other many activities. The visual creations can be through images or paintings from sculpture, photography or painting. An artist comes up with an activity to be shared with an audience. The public can then agree with the presentation or disagree. This is what brings up the debate on arts effect on society.

Numerous people still wonder if art has any impact to the society. Others want to know if such activities play a role in the day to day life of a person. They are also seeking if the activities can be used to change people's minds and attitude towards life.

The answer to the queries above is that there are many effects in the society. First, it has contributed heavily to communication. This is true as it is the simplest form of communication and is used to pass a message to the receiver. It is for this reason that certain artists are using some illustrations to create awareness to the public about issues of concern.

Arts have also contributed a lot to the entertainment industry. This occurs in the sense that certain activities presented evoke feelings or emotions that entertain a viewer, making him to relax. Examples can be films, video games, dance among other activities. With the entertainment value, what comes to mind also is revenue. The industry has seen economic prosperity through; sale of music, motion pictures, photographs, magazines, paintings among other things.

Through artwork, a society is able to reflect on their history. This is because such activities clearly summarize events that happened in a state at a point in time. It captures an event, clarifies the existence of the occasion and then presents the information to society in form of visual or performing media. The public is then left wit the task of accepting the truth or ignoring it, depending on how they view their history. A depiction of behaviors of certain people can lead to feelings of hatred towards one them.

Art has also enabled people to look at the lives of their counterparts. Example being the fashion world. Everyone wants to stay trendy. Thus looking at what other people are wearing gives one an idea of what to put on. Fashion comes from artwork as designers often use paintings or magazine cut outs among other inspirations to come up with fashionable clothing.

Through artwork, a sense of national pride and patriotism has been built in societies. Say a country had been involved in a war, portraits of victory really inspire people. With the victory, means that certain people had to die for others to live. Therefore such illustrations create awareness among people of what transpired for a nation to be what it is, contributing to patriotic nation.

With the above information, people can now learn on the arts effect on society. More often than not, individuals take such visual and interactive media for granted. It is however good that people appreciate these activities to enable personal and societal growth.
