Using Big Canvas Prints Are Functional And Look Fantastic

By Peter Bailey

For some, decorating a home or office space can be a lot of fun. There are some who do it well even when they have to take in certain factors, like not choosing a white area rug when there is a furry animal that will share the space. What many people will say is that big canvas prints are just as practical as an area rug or decorative storage unit.

One reason is that these are great for adding something to walls without painting or using wallpaper. While there are temporary wall coverings that are ideal for dorms or renters, some of these do not hold up well over time. A large of large prints are very affordable without looking like it was made on a home printer.

When it comes to adding life to a workspace, it mostly depends on the individual and their interests or the industry they represent. For instance, someone who works in the aviation industry may want to use a rare photo of the Wright Brothers, Amelia Earhart, or Glenn Curtiss. Having images of these heroes can make quite an impression on visitors or can be an inspiration to the person using the room.

Some feel that if they coordinate colors, they are safe from making decor mistakes. However, there is nothing wrong with a little contrast to liven things up. A nice large canvas on a wall with accents of a dominating color can be a nice touch.

There are also elements of surprise that can be found in an image. For instance, someone who chooses a dark or industrial design can add a little contrast by adding a landscape poster that has a lot of greenery and blues for the sky. While most of the decor may have angles that are sharp or considered boxy, an image with deep curvatures can offset this and make a room feel more welcoming.

The variety that many printing companies offer rival those operations that offer cheap duplicates that look like they were reproduced on a home printer. This means that reproductions of famous artists do not have to look like bootleg images. Those works that are licensed for such use can make any home look better for barely a fraction of what the original may cost.

Those who would like to coordinate colors but do not have a clue should learn about the color wheel. Many of these can be found for free online and the fundamental use of color is fairly simple. Sometimes, people like to go with a single color usage, or monochrome, because they feel it is simple. However, a color wheel can show anyone how to pick a complementary color that will provide a little contrast.

On the other hand, a black and white image can bring a nice element to a colorful space. Photos of landscapes, interesting people and animals can give a nice contrast. Another idea would be to choose a canvas with geometric shapes in an unexpected space, like the kitchen. The great thing about using canvas art is that there are almost no hard rules when it comes to placement.
