Focus On Women And Music Art

Women have been central in the development of arts in general and music in particular. Their participation has grown over the years with different roles in each era. The linkage between women and music art is at performance, production as well as inspiration. They have been named on numerous occasions among the best composers and singers in their generation.

Female participation in performing arts places them as a minority in all geographical areas. The support and motivation from institutions and individuals has been vital in developing their talents. This has enabled female artists to overcome eminent challenges as they seek to exploit their talents and make a living out of singing.

The role of female artists in shaping social dialogue has evolved over the years. They have remained crucial in entertainment circles and preferred because of their better understanding of certain themes and contexts. The female voices have pacified crowds, guests and royalties in different eras. The female perspective and context in music presents a unique sound and manner of participation that only them can achieve.

The themes covered by female artists in their performances and composition include love, social justice and motivation. Relationships and encounters with lovers have been dominant in most compositions. Men have written songs or been inspired by lovers, daughters, relatives and parents into composing the most incredible melodies.

Pundits have found it difficult to rate some performers as individual female singers without having to consider them alongside men. Comparison has remained largely unfair and biased against female performers. This is responsible for demoralization and a feeling of second class compared to male counterparts.

Women have received a boost from individuals and organizations that seek to promote their work. Such organizations help them to record their music and expose them through events or concerts. This has enabled singers to make a break through in a manner that they would not have done if they had tried on their own. The resources and exposure is crucial for artists.

Female artists have been active in charity through their artistic skills. They fundraise for persons in need and participate in campaigns targeting people in hunger stricken areas, facing floods or who have experienced devastating natural calamities. This adds greater value to their artistic talents.

Classical music has also been influenced by female composers to a very large extent. This has happened over the years. Their representation has been incredible with notable uniqueness in style, approach and musical taste. They collaborate among themselves and with male artists to produce scintillating performances.

Female composers are not regarded as much as their male counterparts. There is an evident gender gap that exists as one tries to scan representation in the musical industry. Some eras did not consider female artists as worthy contributors. This discouraged a huge number but did not stop a few of them from outshining their male counterparts.

Female composers who are commonly mentioned include Amy Marcy, Clara Schumann, Hildegard of Bingen and Cecile Chaminade. They come from different eras with varied achievements during their years. Their styles differ and so do their themes. This is attributed to the prevailing conditions in each community and era and how it influences art.
