Booking An Elvis Tribute Act Can Make Your Party Very Memorable

By Rena Hudson

Most people have seen the kind of entertainment that an Elvis tribute act can provide for their party or celebration. As well as Elvis Presley's music and style, this kind of performer can provide a wonderful talking point for the event. There are many positive points to arranging for this kind of performer to appear at an event you are organising.

Firstly, and perhaps most obviously, it is a good idea to book this kind of performer for an event honouring somebody who is a massive fan of the singer's work. A performance can really make the event wonderfully memorable for someone who is a fan of Presley. If the entertainer turns up as a surprise guest, then the impact can be even greater.

Should the performer arrive by surprise during the course of the event, then it can be a good idea to have them deliver a gift. This might be something as simple as flowers and kiss, or a special message delivered in a characteristic style. If the performer sings a song as well, then the magic can be complete.

Anyone booking a Presley impersonator must be aware, though, of the different phases to the 'King's career. His early forays into entertainment at the birth of rock 'n' roll were very different to his later Las Vegas era performances. He also adopted a different style during his mainstream film career, which occurred in the mid to late 1960s.

Of course, if you are booking a Presley impersonator for somebody's party, then it is a good idea to check which era of Presley's career they prefer. Someone who prefers the decadent thrills of the later Elvis in a white leather jumpsuit will not necessarily want to see a lean, young version of the singer performing 'Jailhouse Rock'. The reverse could be true too, obviously.

Some Presley impersonators can be booked to perform a full set of songs, along with a band. Although this might cost more than simply hiring them to make an appearance or to sing a single song, it can also make for a wonderful evening. The set list can then be tailored to cover the guests' preferences as to which songs they would like to be performed.

Another wonderful personal touch can be added to proceedings by using organising the chance for duet between the tribute act and the person in whose honour the party is being held. This not only gives them a chance to sing with 'Elvis', but also allows everyone else to take home a great memory of the occasion. Of course, it also helps if the person concerned is a good enough singer to carry it off, otherwise it might be a little embarrassing, or not go as planned at all.

An Elvis tribute act can add a real touch of personal quality to any occasion. There is usually a great range of this kind of tribute act available, and a good way of finding one is simply to search online in your local area. If you are looking for something spectacular to really make your event, this a great option to take.
