Putting Together Your Own Christmas Tree Decorating Kits

By Juliette Cruz

Christmas tree decorating kits make life easier when you are ready to decorate trees. It is nice to have everything you need all in one place. A kit takes the guess work out of whether or not something will coordinate with something else. The colors and designs are made to go with one another. Each year when you are ready to decorate, you simply grab the container and you know that everything is in there.

There are some things to keep in mind when choosing a kit. They are not all created equal. Some will be better than others and it is up to you to buy the best one for your home. Some may have just ornaments, this can be a great help, however, you are then left to find everything else that you need to give your home a pulled together look.

While it can be hard to find every single option you want in one kit. You should be able to find one with everything needed for trees. You can then look around for options from the same company in order to find pieces that will coordinate for the rest of your home.

However, the star of the holiday home is the beautiful pine, spruce or fir that is situated in a place of honor. This is what a kit should make shine. Begin by taking out the lights. These will go on first. Some people love a lot of lights and may wish to buy some extra strings. Be sure they are the same color so they will coordinate.

Save empty paper towel rolls, gift wrap rolls or rolled up newspaper. These will be useful later when it is time to take everything done and pack it up for next year. During the season just throw these in the container to be used later.

Packing up should be done with care. You do not want to just throw everything in the box. If you do that, you will have a huge job when it comes time to use them again. Do this job when you are not rushed and you have time to do it right. If it means it stays up for a few more days, that is fine.

Next the lights should be stored. As with the garland it is smart to wrap them in order to keep them from tangling. Tangled lights are a huge chore when it comes time to use them. Be gentle with the lights as you wrap and store them. Then it is finally time to put the ornaments in. Use care so they do not get crushed or broken. Wrap the delicate ones in paper or bubble wrap for extra cushioning. Be sure that when the lid goes on your container it will not break anything.

The best Christmas tree decorating kits will include everything that you need. Read the package carefully to see what is included. Do not just assume that because trees pictured on the box have everything that the kit does. Read to see what is included. You can then determine if it is worth it for the price. If not, keep looking. With so many on the market you are sure to find one perfect for you.
