Karan Johar- One in a Million!

Karan Johar popularly known as KJo, is a multitalented personality in the Indian film industry. He has projected his talents in filmmaking as a director, screenwriter, producer, costume designer and a television host. He heads the production house known as the Dharma Production after his father's demise, Yash Johar. He has produced and directed few Bollywood movies that have generated the maximum revenue in both Indian as well as overseas market.

Karan mostly makes commercial movies which is widely appreciated and watched by the family audience. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a romantic comedy which is about the college going people who unknowingly fall in love with each other and so a love triangle is formed. Therefore this became very popular amongst the youngsters.

He has received many awards and accolades for his other movies like Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna, My Name is Khan, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Mohabbatein etc. He has also worked with Shahrukh as his costume designer for movies like Dil To Pagal Hai, Duplicate, Mohabbatein, Main Ho Naa, Veer Zaara and Om Shanti Om.

Karan is currently working on his upcoming movie named as Student of the Year, which stars the new comers Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. This is the first time that he is working with new faces. Earlier he never experimented with new ones rather he used to always team up with his old Bollywood favorites like Shahrukh, Kajol etc.

The sources claims that Karan is spending a lot of time with his actors, reading the scripts with them so that they could get thorough with their dialogues and get ingrained in their characters. He is also attending the choreographies to ensure that his actors feel very comfortable.

He is totally engrossed in his current assignment and is spending more time script reading with his stars so that they could understand and completely get into their characters. We have heard that he is personally mentoring all his leads and he drops in frequently during the choreography to make sure that his actors feel comfortable.

Other than all of this he has also judged the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa with Madhuri Dixit and Remo D'souza. He was the only other person apart from the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who was invited for the opening ceremony of London Olympics. Even in the year 2006 he was the first Indian filmmaker to be the jury member of the Miss World Competition in Poland. In 2007 he was also chosen as one of the 250 Global Young Leaders.
