What You Can Get From An Amos And Andy DVD Collection

By Wendi Osborne

To make yourself feel good after a stressful day or week, you should consider watching an Amos and Andy DVD. It is a collection of one of the most highly acclaimed shows in the U. S. That proved how truly effective laughter is as a medicine. Learn what the collection can offer you.

The show began in 1928 as a radio serial every night. It was directed by Charles Correll and Freeman Gosden who also voiced the characters in the series. The show received a lot of positive responses from people in the U. S. And it later grew to become a weekly situation comedy series and nightly disc jockey program.

In June 1951, the show was adapted in television, filming around 78 episodes as sponsored by the Blatz Brewing Company. African American actors played the main roles, which explains why the Digital Video Disc cover looks such. It was actually the first series to be filmed using a multi-camera set up.

Although the lighting systems and camera set ups were not quite advanced at the time, current CDs are able to show the shows with great clarity. The old records were digitally remastered to allow viewers to have a good time watching the comedy show. All 78 episodes, including those not aired, are included in the collection too.

What's even better is that the Digital Versatile Disc Collections show the uncut version of the episodes for an even longer laughing time. There are also footage of the interviews made with the casts of the television as well as radio show that will play in any media, including your PC.

The CDs may include other things. These are cast introductions; cartoons like The Rasslin Match and The Lion Tamer that features the original voices in the radio show; the full length movie of Check and Double Check by the original directors of the show; and so many other bonuses.

An Amos and Andy DVD collection would make a perfect addition to your home theater or as a gift to a special someone. After all, everybody needs a good laugh after a long hard day's work. And it's a very good thing to go back to the old times when things were quite simple yet worthwhile. amos and andy dvd
