Tauheed Epps generally known as 2 Chainz was born on 12/12/77 in College Park, GA. He went to North Clayton Secondary School graduating at the very top of his class. Tauheed advanced to play college basketball at Alabama State University.

In 1997, 2 Chainz, whom during the time went under the stage name Tity Boi made the southern hip hop group Playaz Circle with high school buddy Dolla Boy (Earl Conyers).
