Priyanka Chopra is one of the new actresses, who has slowly made it big in the Hindi film industry with her relentless efforts. In the current year, several Hindi filmmakers have roped in Priyanka for their movies, which will also have some superstars. As an actress, she has performed her roles very well till now and she also strives to better her performances. With her style, sensual look and acting ability, she gives a good competition to other actresses.

Modeling and Miss India Pageant.

Her career in modeling was successful. In 2000, she took part in Beauty Pageant after appearing in a few ads. In India, she could only be the runner-up however in the international arena she bagged the first place and was crowned as Miss World 2000. She became the fourth Indian to win the title.

Debut in Film Industry.

It was an immediate change from a model to an actor and in 2002 she started off with Thamizhan, a Tamil film. She even sang Ullathai Killadhe, a song in the film. Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta starrer film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, was her first movie in Hindi. The movie was one of the highest grossing movies of the year and her performance got good responses. She received the award for Best Debutant for the performance in this film. She was nominated for the award of Best supporting actress (for this movie). Her following films got mixed reactions from viewers as well as film critics but all knew she was there to stay for a long time.

Becoming the National Award Winner.

Madhur Bhandarkar cast Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut in his film Fashion, made in 2008. Priyanka showcased a matured performance in the movie and the character of Meghna Mathur became popular. She performs as s a small town girl who within no time becomes a supermodel in Mumbai and her life changes fully because of some bad incidents. The change has been shown perfectly by her. No wonder, she was awarded the Filmfare Best Actress Award and also the National Award for Best Actress in the year 2009.

Hindi Films to be Released.

By establishing her as a dependable actress by staying up to the mark always, her forthcoming films in the Hindi film industry are being eagerly awaited by followers and critics. In her upcoming movie Saat Khoon Maaf, she enacts the character of an Anglo-Indian woman who murders her husbands. The story is an adaptation of Ruskin Bond's short story. She will be portraying 7 various roles in this suspense movie and it is said to be one of the best films in her career.

She will be acting in Don 2- The Chase Continues, apart from Saat Khoon Maaf, with one of the finest actors of the Hindi movie industry, Shah Rukh Khan. This stylish suspense film shows Priyanka as Roma and is being awaited by fans of both actors.
